Overview
The Council for Disability Awareness is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to helping working adults understand the importance of having alternate sources of income for times when they cannot work due to illness, injury, or pregnancy.
The CDA engages in research, communications and educational activities that provide information and helpful resources to wage earners, employers, financial advisors, consultants and others who are concerned about the personal and financial impact a disability can have on wage earners and their families.
Our mission is:
- To expand public awareness of the likelihood of disability occurring among the working population
- To increase public knowledge about the financial hardship that disability can have on wage earners and their families
- To demonstrate the value of planning responsibly in the event disability prevents one from earning a living
The Council for Disability Awareness empowers working Americans by providing expert information to help them make responsible decisions to prepare for and maintain their financial security should they become disabled and unable to earn a living.
