Bob Herum

Interim President
Bob brings extensive industry knowledge and experience to the CDA, with over 35 years of experience in the insurance industry. As a founder of Executive Benefits Brokerage, LLC and former 2nd Vice President of Ameritas Life Insurance Corp., Bob is widely recognized in the disability insurance field. His leadership includes being a past member of The CDA board, two tenures as President of the International Disability Society (IDIS), and his role as past chair of the National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU) Disability Insurance Advisory Group. Bob has been published in such magazines as The American College’s Wealth Magazine, National Underwriter, Broker’s World, NAIFA’s Advisor Today, The American College, and Health Insurance Underwriters (HIU). Additionally, he has spoken at national, regional and state forums on a variety of disability and worksite sales topics.

 

Fred Schott
Director of Operations & Research
Fred Schott has a long history in the world of workplace health, disability, and productivity, with more than forty-five years in the insurance industry, the last thirty of them dealing with issues in the health and productivity space. He helped design and administer corporate ergonomics, safety and workers compensation loss control programs, and consulted with client companies on understanding and responding to disability and absence claim trends and costs. Fred also served in the National Business Group on Health’s EMPAQ (Employer Measures of Productivity, Absence and Quality) Technical Advisory Group, which shaped the definition of industry-standard metrics for absence and disability claims. Fred currently serves on the Editorial Review Panel for the Disability Management Employer Coalition’s bimonthly magazine @Work.

 

Christi Doe
Senior Consultant
Christi
works closely with both the President and Director of Operations to develop policy initiatives, create engaging marketing collateral, and direct membership expansion for the organization. She brings more than 25 years of experience in the disability management and employee absenteeism space. She worked with multiple employers, third party administrators, and carriers throughout her career in sales and marketing for a variety of vendors. Christi also donated her time for many years to nonprofit organizations in the disability industry and now works as a paid consultant for several. Most of all, Christi is well known throughout the disability arena for her expertise and absolute enthusiasm for this work.
